Absolutely cute cabin right next to the playground, very cozy and perfect for a few nights camping experience with small children. The staff was very nice. It is worth staying a couple of nights longer. There are lots of things to see and do close by (Natursenter Hardanger, Vøringsvossen, Eidfjord, nice walks...).
Beds were comfy, and they even had a baby bed.

Eidfjord is a very practical location since from there is access to many activities and visits that I would recommend such as Vøringsfossen, Kjeåsen, Norsk Natursenter - Hardanger and a lot of sensational excursions. Apart from that you have Hardangerfjord, the Ulvik/Voss area, Hardangervidda just a few kilometers away by car.
And the town is small, quiet and charming.

Eidfjors is an idyllic place with many things to do or enjoy. As main attractions you have the waterfall of Vøringsfossen, the norwegian nature center museum and the farms and views of Kjeåsen. Apart from that, other spectacular waterfalls and fantastic hikes. It is also a good place to relax and do nothing.

There is some great hiking in the area.
There is some great hiking in the area. We took the trail to the foot of Voringsfossen waterfall, which gave a different perspective from the viewpoints along the road. The hike to Kjeasen mountain farm is a lot of fun, with a few scrambles on the way up. This is quite steep and slippy in places so best done on a dry day. The views from the top are stunning.
We also did a day trip to Bergen from Eidfjord, if you have a car it is doable to go there and back in a day.
Eidfjord itself is very small and easy to get around. We mainly ate in our hotel (Eidfjord Fjell and Fjord Hotel) which was very nice to go for dinner.
The cafe staff are very friendly. Although the restaurant dinner menu is very limited, what we ordered was extremely tasty (we had the fried chicken burger meal.) Facilities are clean. View from the balcony and front porch of the Cafe are amazing and exactly what we came to see in Norway. This made a great base for hiking Trolltunga and was an easy 60-90 min drive away.
Friendly, helpful staff – felt more like a family than a hotel. Nice breakfast with freshly cooked omelettes. Comfortable, spacious, modern hotel room. Only 9 rooms on the property; all on the ground floor. Comfortable lounge area with free tea. The owners run an adventure travel company (kayaking, biking, etc.) as well.
Very nice located small pension directly in the small city of Eidfjord.
The dinner (Köttbullar) we could get at the Vik Pension was excellent and one of the best dinner we had during our holidays in Norway.
The breakfast was good, room was comfortable and nice!
Classic, historic hotel. Great location next to one of the largest and most impressive waterfalls in Norway - staying at the falls allowed us to catch them in good light despite it being a stormy day. Proprietor was pleasant and helpful. Good restaurant.
A nice room in an historical building. The building is beautiful.
Room was a bit small but fine. WIFI was fast and stable.
Breakfast was OK.
Shared restrooms and shower were fine too.
The hotel has a restaurant (that I did not try it)
Great location, very close to the Hardangerfjord and the Voringfossen waterfall. The facilities were very clean and the room was very cozy, and the staff was attentive too. Nice breakfast to start the day.
The beautiful dining space, charming hotel lounge, cozy room, and very friendly staff made for an excellent stay in Eidfjord. The dinner we had onsite was delicious! Would highly recommend!
Location, interiors, staff and even the food cooked by the chef .... Wish we had more time to stay in this beautiful hotel. One of the best places to stay in Eidfjord.
Everything was really great, especially Gina our host is friendly and warm in her heart.
Everytime we will come to Eidfjord we will stay there if its possible.
