Set in Montevideo, 1.2 km from Pocitos Beach, Hotel Montevideo - Leading Hotels of the World offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, private parking, a fitness centre and a terrace. We are a family of four and stayed in two adjoining rooms for 5 nights. All of us absolutely loved the hotel, to be honest it is probably our favourite hotel ever! The location is great in a safe, trendy area, full of restaurants and close to the beach. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with a jaw dropping lobby. It is convenient, not too big, with a very good restaurant on the ground floor and a tapas bar/bar on the rooftop, where there is also a very nice pool, overlooking the neighbourhood and sea. The gym is on the 1st floor, with the most beautiful wooden equipment I have ever seen. The parking is on level minus one and very handy. The rooms themselves are beautiful, with details like an ornate and quirky water jar, a small but well designed desk, a balcony, a coffee machine and a well equipped mini bar and a nice balcony. Oh, and the mattresses and linen were heavenly. On top of this super nice staff and you have a recipe for what certainly is one of the leading hotels of the world, for a song!

Located in Montevideo, in front of the beach Pocitos Beach, Hotel Costanero MGallery provides accommodation with a restaurant, private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a bar. The hotel was perfect, with a very good location in front of the beach in a safe neighbourhood. The staff was polite and super helpful. The room was exactly as described. Very clean with amazing view. One of the best we have visited.

Set in Montevideo, 200 metres from Pocitos Beach, Soro Montevideo, Curio Collection By Hilton offers accommodation with free bikes, private parking, a fitness centre and a terrace. Especially the people who worked in the hotel. They all appeared to like their job, they were helpful and prompt in helping. Eventhough they spoke very little English, they made it up by being personable and always available. A special group of people. Thanks!

Boasting a sauna and a fitness centre, Mérit Montevideo Apart & Suites is located in the Pocitos district in Montevideo, 1.2 km from Shopping Mall and 3.6 km from Cagancha Square. Hotel is very well located in the main avenue. Reception clerks were very friendly and treated us with extremely kindness. The apartments are quite comfortable and clean.

Situated within 2 km of Ramirez and 2.1 km of Pocitos Beach, Artistes du Monde features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Montevideo. I absolutely loved the location, I liked that it wasn't in the middle of the busier part of Montevideo but had everything you needed. My room was neat, featuring a comfortable bed and a delightful balcony. I shared a well-kept kitchen, common area, and bathroom with just two other guests, ensuring a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The immediate surroundings were fantastic, with two charming bars just 20 meters away on either side of the street. Don't worry about noise – it won't disrupt your sleep. Additionally, a large supermarket is conveniently located within less than 100 meters, making it easy to grab essentials. For dining options, the area offers a variety of choices, including Armenian cuisine. For an authentic Uruguayan experience I would recommend "Parrillada El Alemán," (15 min walk) a restaurant featured in Anthony Bourdain's food documentary "Parts Unknown" during his visit to Uruguay. Try the sweet "morcilla"!. Not too far away but easily reachable by bus is "Escaramuza," a beautiful bookstore and cafe. Or grab one of the best "chevito" I had at "El Tinkal" with a view of the ramblas. Moreover, the beach is just a short 15-minute walk away from the house, providing a perfect escape to the sun and sea. The entire house is not only clean but also well-maintained, and the host, Veronica, was incredibly helpful, making me feel truly welcome. With bus stops just a few minutes away, it's convenient to explore Ciudad Vieja and beyond. Overall, my stay was enriched by the delightful combination of a great location, comfortable amenities, and the warm hospitality of Veronica. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Uruguay.
